Chickpea Hummus

Hummus can be a healthy snack option, but it will depend on the type of oil used in its preparation, as well as the additives that may have been added -such as citric acid- or the preservatives. For this reason, your best option will always be to prepare it at home. Below you will find the recipe to easily prepare the traditional chickpea hummus. You can accompany it with toast, with pita bread or with crudité of vegetables. Bon appetit and, if you liked it, leave me your comments!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of cooked chickpeas

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 3 tbsp yellow lemon juice

  • 2 tbsp tahini (sesame paste) or sesame oil

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1/2 tsp of salt

To decorate:

  • 1 handful of black sesame seeds

  • 1 drizzle of olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp of paprika (paprika)

  • Kalamata olives

Preparation:

  • Place the ingredients in the food processor until you get a smooth paste.

  • Garnish with sesame seeds, a drizzle of olive oil, paprika, and kalamata olives.

  • Serve with pita bread and vegetables of your choice.
